The sun is shining and the seedlings are sprouting; it’s time to get transplants in the ground! Join Hidden Creek Farm for an overview of our transplanting techniques including bed preparation, adjusting seedlings to the outdoors, and care after planting. We will walk through direct seeding root crops and the special care needed to ensure a robust crop. Bring your garden gloves and green thumb for this hands-on workshop!
Basics of transplanting: spacing, depth, timing.
Basics of root crops: thinning, hilling.
