Katahdin Sheep are an American-bred, medium sized sheep with excellent, mild meat quality. Hidden Creek Farm chose Katahdins due to their ease of handling, outstanding pasture growth, excellent maternal instincts, easy lambing characteristics, and parasite resistance. Ewes live long and are exceptional mothers, often lambing with twins or triplets and without complication. Katahdins are hair sheep, so no shearing is required.
Katahdins make excellent 4-H animals due to their ease of care. Hidden Creek Katahdins are disease-free and of top quality Green-Pastured™ registered stock. Both Harvest and Breeding stock are available from spring and fall lambings. Breeding stock and Harvest lamb prices are available upon request and dependent on market demand.
